My Wish List for the iPhone/iPod touch
As you may or may not know, I received an iPod touch for Christmas last year, and I fell in love. I’ve had some trouble with it, and so on, but that’s what I get for messing around with it. I had it stolen (but got it back..), and I almost broke the firmware, and couldn’t restore it (spent all vacation trying to fix it.. *cry*). If you don’t know what an iPod touch is, think iPhone minus phone capabilities. If you don’t know what an iPhone is, I would suggest maybe turning on the T.V, or going outside your room once in a while. Or go to the iPhone website. Throughout the months I have had some annoyances, and some things I really, really want.
Here is that list.
Syncing with Google Calendar
I have a lot going on in my life, and the touch has an excellent calendar application. The problem? I can’t sync it with gCal. <life ends>yes.</life ends>
Safari NOT Crashing!
When I surf on the internet browser, Safari, on my touch, it always, I mean ALWAYS crashes. Do you know how annoying it is to be in the middle of a twitter post and, *KABLAM*, crap, Safari crashed, again.
FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you have any idea how many things use flash? Yes, you probably do. Most likely, you have something using Flash open as you read this. Why does the iPhone/touch NOT have Flash? Well, Steve Jobs says it isn’t powerful enough. Mr. Jobs, zip it and listen to your consumers, please. Pretty please?
Wireless Syncing
If a Zune can do it, why can’t the “gift from Jesus” iPhone do it? Period.
Podcast syncing
I listen to A LOT of podcasts. A LOT. It is extremely annoying to have to hook my touch up to my computer to get all of them. Apple, please code something that syncs all my Podcasts RIGHT to my iPod touch; use some RSS reader or something. There’s a way if you Jailbreak it, (not that I’ve jailbroken mine.. *clear throat*), to sync your podcasts, why can’t you make one legally?
GPS
Self-explanatory.
Copy and Paste
There’s a link in a web page that you want to use. Right now, you have to manually type everything in, and don’t mess it up! With a simple copy and paste, you can do this very, very easily, as well as moving stuff into the Notes.app or Mail.app as well.
Wireless, Cordless Headphones
I know I can’t be the only one who does this: I fall asleep with my iPod. I use the headphones, and when I wake up, I am usually wrapped up with cords. If I had cordless headphones, I wouldn’t have this trouble.
———————————————————–
Yes, I know a lot of this is petty, but Apple’s backbone is perfecting the user experience. As a user, I would LOVE for my UE to be perfected, and this is what I want out of my iTouch. I hate that word, iTouch, FYI.
I have many, many more suggestions, but they are extremely petty and very unlikely to happen, including a webcam, and a camera, and some more stuff; if you want to hear them, leave a comment to tell me that!
Now, as I am nearing the ending of this post, I would like to ask you if you have any suggestions on what should go into the iPhone or iPod touch, please post them in the comment section. Thanks!

After reading your blog, I realized that there are many applications that the Touch does not have. Recently I have heard of this new company called Mogotxt that has created a console that enables you to text for free from your iTouch. I tried it out and it seems to work pretty well. I think that this is a great new feature for those iTouch owners who would like to communicate with other touch owners. Check it out, everything is free, all you do is sign up with your email address at http://www.mogotxt.com
